Wrangler JKU Third Row Seat Options
Adding a third-row seat to a JK Wrangler is achievable by using a ready-made bracket kit from companies like Teraflex. These brackets securely mount the seat to the floor, but does this require tools, drilling, and modifications to the existing carpet and subwoofer.
For the seat itself, you actually use the back seat from a 2-Door Wrangler with your matching interior!
JK 2-Door Seat Mounting Styles
2007 - 2010
You have to use seats from a 2007 through 2010 2-door. You can upgrade to the 2013-2017 style seats from the four door however they will not fold forward.
2011 - 2012
These seats, while they appear to be the same as 2010, have a completely redesigned framework. 2011 introduced "Easy-Access" seat tracks that slid all the way to the dash, along with a redesigned floor-pan! If you have a 2011 or 2012 model you can upgrade to the 2013-2017 style however the seat shape is different.
2013 - 2018
The seats were entirely reworked for the 2013 model, however the bolt pattern to the floor remained the same as the 2012. While you can install 2011-2012 seats in the 2013-2018 model, we do not recommend it. For a proper fit, use 2013 - 2018 style seats.
