4th Gen Camaro OEM Interior Options

The 4th Gen Camaro, Firebird, and Trans-Am all used the same vehicle platform known as the "F-Body". The Camaro interior received an interior update for the 1997 model year.

1993 - 1996 Models (Early Interior)

Available Interior Colors

  • Flame Red: A vibrant, solid red cloth available in the early years.
  • Graphite: The standard dark grey interior (often mistaken for black, but lighter).
  • Beige / Tan: A standard light tan option.

Upholstery Materials

  • Cloth: Standard cloth interiors often feature a "Camaro" script or "Bowtie" confetti pattern woven into the center fabric inserts.
  • Leather: Optional leather seats from this era utilize a thick, durable hide.

1997 - 2002 Models (Updated Interior)

It is critical to note that the interior was redesigned in 1997, one year before the exterior "Catfish" facelift (1998). If you have a 1997 Camaro, you have the "old" nose but the "new" interior

Available Interior Colors

  • Dark Grey / Graphite (1997-1999): A dark charcoal grey.
  • Ebony (2000-2002): A true, deep black.
  • Neutral: A medium tan/beige.

Upholstery Materials

  • Cloth
  • Perforated Leather: Leather-equipped models typically feature perforated center inserts for breathability.

Special Editions

30th Anniversary (1997): Features White leather bolsters with Black & White Houndstooth cloth inserts and "30th Anniversary" embroidery.

35th Anniversary (2002): Features Ebony leather with solid Silver/Grey leather center inserts and commemorative embroidery.

4th Gen Camaro OEM Interior Upgrades

F-Body Seat Interchangeability

The floor pan and seat track bolt patterns are identical for all 1993–2002 Camaros (and Firebirds).

  • Physical Fitment: Any 4th Gen seat will bolt into any 4th Gen car.
  • Seatbelt Receivers: The seatbelt buckles (receivers) attached to the inner seat track may differ in size or shape. Transferring the original receivers from your old seats to the new units ensures compatibility with the vehicle's existing seatbelts.
  • Wiring: Power seat tracks require a 12V power source and a ground. Vehicles originally equipped with manual seats may require custom wiring to the driver's seat location to enable power adjustments.

Installing Newer Camaro Seats In a 4G Camaro

The floor pan of the 4th Gen Camaro is significantly different than that of the newer ones, so significant fabrication work is required to complete these installations.
