K2XX Silverado & Sierra Interior Upgrades
Power Seat Installation
You should expect a plug-and-play installation under most circumstances. If you have a W/T Trim or Fleet vehicle you may need to run an additional power and ground wire. The seat plugs are physically the same throughout the entire generation, though options do change wiring.
Replacing Factory Cooled GM Truck Seats
There were multiple versions of the cooling system available for these trucks. You can quickly identify compatible seats by checking out your map pocket. The earlier version had air vents built into the hard plastic seat back panel, above the map pocket to allow heat-exhaust to flow out from the climate-controlled seat system. The newer system has a all vinyl map pocket without vents.
Silverado Console & Jump Seat Conversion Options
Needing seating for three? Wanting to swap the seat for more storage? This is a direct swap - all the holes are already drilled so this install only takes a few minutes!
Console to Jumpseat
This is a direct swap, unless you have the BOSE system. You'll also need the storage box, and a custom wiring solution for any jumpseat features you want to enable.
Jumpseat to Console
In addition to the console, you'll also need the front mounting bracket and a few rubber inserts to complete the installation.
For wiring, we recommend HarnessDr Jumpseat to Console Wiring Kits. You'll want to purchase either the 16-pin or 23-pin version, depending on the console you choose.
