Parts List
The fourth gen Ram, also known as the "DS" Ram, has been in production since 2009. These seats are easy to find, and come in a large variety of variations, including heated and cooled.
You'll need all of the following from the donor vehicle.
- Driver Seat
- Passenger Seat
- Center Seat
- Center Seat Mounting Brackets
- Center Seatbelt Receptor, Female
- Center Seatbelt Male Buckle (Must be from a four door!)
Removing The Old Seats:
The front row of the third generation Ram is a split bench seat, the three separate sections are all interconnected. To remove the seats from the vehicle, first undo the eight floor bolts, and then remove the headrests. Lean the seats back and undo the four 13mm bolts that hold the center seat to the outer seat brackets.
Disconnect the electrical connector that runs from the driver seat through the center seat, to the passenger seat. Disconnect the driver seat floor connector, and remove the seats from the vehicle.
Modifications
Before installation, one of the center jumpseats brackets needs rotated. Simply rotate the driver's side front mounting bracket 90 degrees clockwise, hiding it flush underneath the console.
If you don't have power seats you may need to run an additional 12 volt circuit underneath your seats to supply power to your new seats.
Installation
Install the driver and passenger seats first using the original hardware. The center seat mounting brackets attach to the passenger side seat with included hardware. The two floor brackets will need through bolted for maximum stability, though many forum posts say it's unnecessary.
3rd Gen Ram Business Console Swaps

Removing the old console:
The old console needs to be taken out before the new one can be installed. Remove the lower and upper dash trim pieces for replacement.
Modifications
If your truck has a floor shifter for four-wheel drive, you might need to make a small cut in the new console for clearance
Installation
After replacing the upper and lower dash trim, the new console bolts right in, making it a relatively straightforward "take the old one out, put the new one in" process. The console is bolted to the front bench using four bolts, located in the front and back corners.
Addressing the middle seat belt: If your truck has a bench seat, you'll need to pop out the middle seat belt so the console can sit down properly.
Wiring
The new console is plug and play for most Ram trucks, with one plug from the driver's seat connecting to the console for power.
